PSG to sign new Nike Shirt Deal
France giants Paris Saint-Germain are to signed a new €20 million shirt with current technical supplier Nike.
After months of intense negotiations, the Parisian club officially announced that they had secured a deal with Nike which would see the French earn €20 million a season. PSG’s relationship with Nike dates back to 1989 where in the past few seasons they have invested in world class footballers such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson cavani, Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura.
Nike currently pays Barcelona €35 million per year where the deal with PSG could see the French club get up to €30 million in one year with bonuses. The current Nike deal sees PSG get €6.5 million per year. The deal is similar to the benefits generated by the contract with Emirates, the airline of Dubai, which now pays €20 million (which can add €5 million bonus).
