Premier League Shirts Cup: Quarter Final Stage Fixtures
The Premier League Shirts Cup Round One finished last Sunday when the voting for the match between Chelsea and Portsmouth closed. Chelsea edged Portsmouth in a close encounter to come out as winner from this clash with 53.7% out of 376 votes. Now we know all eight teams that have qualified for the quarter-final stage of this competition. The teams eliminated in Round One were Bolton, Birmingham, Fulham, Wolves, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Manchester United and Portsmouth.
The qualified teams that beat the above teams respectively are:
Manchester City
West Ham
Tottenham Hotspurs
Arsenal
Burnley
Blackburn
Hull City
Chelsea
The fixtures for the Quarter Final stage have now been drawn, and will commence on Sunday 6th December 2009:
Quarter Final 1: Burnley vs Arsenal
Quarter Final 2: Hull City vs Manchester City
Quarter Final 3: West Ham vs Chelsea
Quarter Final 4: Blackburn vs Tottenham
while I’m slightly upset that my team isn’t still in the competition, I’m ecstatic that Manchester United isn’t in it either – they’re a bunch of wankers!
