For the 2007/08 Premier League season, the ball used for matches has changed from a red one to a blue one. The ball for 07/08 is the Nike Total 90 Aerow II Football, which is a size 5, in White/Black/Photo Blue.

In what is a multi season deal for Nike to provide the Premier League with match day balls, the colour of them is changed each season, but the actual ball itself does not change. It is yet unclear whether there will be a new high visibilty ball to replace the yellow/purple which was used last year.

Is has uses Nike exclusive Geo Balanced Technology featuring six double-hex panels. The casing is hand stitched and is engineered micro-grooves which improves the balls aerodynamics and thus the ability of players to shape shots & passes. The asymmetrical pattern on the ball makes it easier to read the ball’s spin and flight trajectory when it is in the air and the explosive vapor core bladder increases the balls speed off the foot.

I’d still prefer Adidas their footballs are not only better looking but better to play with.

WHERE DO YOU BUY ONE ?

Only Nike and the premier league can restrict the availability of these balls to keep the price up. Fans ripped off again perhaps ?
