Portsmouth Third Kit 2008/09
Portsmouth FC have revealed their new third kit for this season.It will be launched on 18th September.Here it is:

Portsmouth Third Socks
The shirt features the same layout as the away shirt,but the colors are different.Third shirt is mainly black with gray sleeves,shoulders,collar and area at the bottom of the shirt.Border of the collar,Canterbury logos (which are placed on both shoulders and right side of the chest) and sponsor’s writing ‘OKI printing solutions’ are all made in golden in order to celebrate 110th anniversary of the club.Club’s crest is placed on the left side of the chest and there’s text ‘110 YEARS’ just under it.The shirt will be complemented by black shorts and black socks.

No different to puma or lotto having at least 3 logo’s on the shirt. Or even adidas having there trademark 3 stripes on every shirt, shorts, and socks!
Nice, clean shirt, you can clearly see Canterbury’s rugby roots coming through though!
Whats so special about 110 years? just an excuse to bring out 3 new kits
they celebrate 110 years because they couldn’t afford to make a big accasion of 100 years. Kit is ok

in my opinion we have 3 really nice shirts this year
it is a little disappointing that its the same template as the away shirt,cause we had 3 different templates last season and different ones for home and away this year, but hey the fact that it is actually a nice shirt makes up for that

oh and to all people who cannot read, what it says on the home shirt page, we are celebrating 110 years, because we were in administration at that point, so we our celebrating it now!! sorry, its just so many people have asked that!! oh how times have changed
not a total disaster - a little bit of over-branding by canterbury in regards to the logos, wonder if the crest would have looked better with a black or grey background. While I’m glad to see the back of last year’s ” let’s pretend how slim you would look before the meat pies” piping - the template could have been streamlined in keeping with canterbury’s rugby traditions - maybe starting with a collar similar to the one on the current brazil shirt.

hello peeps, how annoying is it that pompey have stuck with the same colour third kit for THREE years? should get something different like yellow or baby blue…..thatd be immense. and i hate the collars! love the home kit tho

p.s any pompey fans goin 2 home matches this year, pick up the noise! our chants at the manunited game were poor! i ended up singing on my own ………….P>U>P

The collars on the away & 3rd strips are a little bit dodgy, mainly because they always flop over the crest, bit of a design oversight. Otherwise they look good.
Does anyone know if we will have a custom font on the shirts for European games? Saw the Chelsea vs Bordeaux game last night and liked Chelsea’s lower case lettering on the shirts. Let’s hope ours is something like that. Bring on a 4-1 win for us against Vitoria =D PUP!
