Peterborough United’s New logo
For the 2008/09 season Peterborough United will have a new club crest, it is round shaped and white text appears on the blue outer circle. The new logo now incorporates Peterborough’s foundation year of 1934 and still retains the club motto ‘Upon this rock’. The griffins and the cross keys logo are still present, however the crown has been taken off the top of the shield.
adidas to make Posh’s kit
adidas have taken over manufacture of the club shirts from current supplier Tempest for next season and this new design will feature on the new shirts due to go on sale in 2008. Peterborough are one of only four clubs (with Newcastle, Chelsea & Derby) who are currently working directly with adidas.
Posh’s Commercial Manager Leigh Porter said:
“The new crest will aid us in producing a higher standard of merchandise and team-wear and it is vitally important that we retain strong links with our history. This will be reflected in a number of ways with the new kits.”

I work with a guy who has the old badge tattooed on his back. He’s been in the local paper’s for his 15 minutes of fame.
found a link to that: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/news/New-Posh-crest-is-tattoo.3773095.jp
Don’t forget to add Liverpool to the adidas fold.
Liverpool are working with Reebok, who are now owned by adidas, whom now appear on the shirts, if that makes sense. So I think….. that Liverpool aren’t working directly with adidas as such. But I know what you mean.
i think peterborough can macke it to the championship
Very nice
So Liverpool will be going back to Reebok kits next season? They’re adidas now, of course.
no adidas now owns reebok, so liverpool will stay adidas
Bit of a coup for the posh to get Adidas. The company realise that the brand is dying out as a football brand in this country because Nike has so many of the bigger teams under contract. Nike also outstrip Adidas on football boot sales, so all this recent shirt activity is based on getting back Adidas’ profile.
“Admin” – that’s him !!
He’s sitting opposite me now.
Nice
up the posh! bring on the scumbridge
