Palmeiras 2009/10 Home and Away

In an unveiling ceremony, Brazilian club Palmeiras have revealed the uniforms that they will be wearing for the upcoming 2009/10 season. In the same event, the club announed its sponsorship deal with world-famous electronics company Samsung. The deal has a 3-year lifespan and is worth a total of £14 million, with added clauses based on team performances. Jose Roberto Ferraz de Campos, executive vice President of Samsung, expressed a feeling of contentment for the deal:

“We are happy to sign partnership with the football team of Palmeiras, a club recognized internationally for its great achievements and history of success in training and management of talent in sports.”The incentive to return to football strengthens our ties with the method and the objective of increasing investments aimed at developing sports in the country.”

The new home shirt will have a green base colour. The sponsor logo will be white. The shirt will have a white collar, and white piping extending from the collar, around the chest, and down the sides. The Adidas three stripes will be white, and so will the Adidas logo, centred just below the collar. The away shirt is seen by many as being a photocopy of last season’s Chelsea away kit. It has the same yellow highlighter colour and the same sponsor. The collar is the same colour of the shirt, and the same template of the home shirt was used, but with green replacing the white details.
