Olympique de Marseille European Kit

Posted on July 22nd, 2008 in Marseille by gmoneyreg

This is the Third/European Kit for French team Olympique de Marseille.

Manufactured by adidas, the top is a gold colour with black highlights on either side of the torso as well as the traditional three stripes on the shoulders. Interesting aspect of this top is it’s 3/4 length sleeves.

Shorts are all black with the adidas three stripes in gold to match the top.

The socks are also black comprising of a color blocked top of gold with black striped highlights.

Beautiful is the use of OM’s traditional light blue throughout the kit, even highlighting the sponsor logo across the jersey.

Three quarter length sleeves. Bit of a departure and fashion orientated that

This is the third. this template is the same used by Mexico and South Africa. I still prefer the away shirts with the argyle padronage

3/4 length sleeves, and the stripes only go 1/3 of the way down. Wow. Are they really that poor.

seriously OM. Seriously. Do Provencal people have shorter arms or something? (I lived in Aix, I’m pretty sure they have normal sized arms). “the interesting thing…” is that those arms are completely stupid. Maybe it’s a reference that, like in Europe, they just can’t go all the way.

    (and i’m a Marseille fan!)

The stripes don’t seem to go all the way down on any adidas kit anymore. I think they arent allowed to, this is definitely the case with tennis player tops where the full stripes are regarded as a sponser logo that is too big. The long arms on this shirt make them look even shorter though.
