Official: Manchester United 2011/12 Away Kit

The reigning Premier League 2010/11 Champions, Manchester United, have unveiled their new away strip for the 2011/12 season. The club lost only 4 matches during the past campaign, winning 23, and 11 matches finishing in a tie. This was United’s record 19th English domestic league triumph, surpassing arch-rivals Liverpool’s 18 titles. The club was also the losing finalist in the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League where they were beaten by Barcelona. Strengthening their squad ahead of the new season, United acquired the servies of Phil Jones from Blackburn, Ashley Young from Aston Villa, and goalkeeper David de Gea from Atletico Madrid which replaces Edwin van der Sar in goal.

The new away shirt for matches played away from Old Trafford has a blue base colour with horizontal black stripes which are themselves striped horizontally in dark blue. The sleeves are also striped and the collar is black. The Nike Swoosh appears in white on the right side of the chest. We had brought you leaked pictures of the new away shirt back in June before it was officially unveiled. The shirt is complemented by black shorts, and black socks with a blue band.

  1. Ashfordo:

    Oh dear!!! Booring!

  2. Faizaan:

Was really looking forward to get the away kit for man united, but after seeing this, might just have to get the home kit

  3. George Lazenby 007:

    quite an ugly kit imo

  4. Benedikt Baldursson:

    Great kit for great team!!!

  5. ehsan:

    not bad & not great!

  6. BIG K 1987:

Really nice kit, same colour blue as 1968 v Benfica, also looks very smart… cannot wait to see Ashley Young n hopefully Wesley Sneijder wearing this vs Arsenal this season!!

  7. HORSEMEAT:

nothing exciting here looks like a sports tee you buy from jd sports or jjb sports

  8. jungle bhoy:

    It’s alright,nothing special.

  9. badonde:

Didn’t like their away kit from last season much but it’s miles better than this.

And to George Lazenby – grow up fella no need to say things like that.

  10. Tim:

Like the colours, like the idea, love hoops but it could have been better. Thinner hoops – basically a black and blue version of the France away – would have been perfect.

Still infinately better than last year’s away kit.

  11. Jarkko:

Agree with Tim completely, France version would have been smart

  12. George Lazenby 007:

^ calm down mate seriously relax

  13. JoshWBA:

Not too bad its different i suppose, people moan when kit manufacturers dont create something different but when they do they still moan. Some can never be pleased can they?

  14. RobbietheGooner Dublin:

I think its really nice. I like it. Shame I cant say the same thing about the club though haha

  15. Fuli:

I was going to dislike this kit but apparently one has to like kits to say anything around here now. When did this place get so angry?

  16. Kenny:

solution is: bring the vodafone back.

  17. Joe:

I like it. They are genuine hoops, right, not just horizontal stripes on the front?

  18. Prodigy:

Really nice! I hated it at first but love it now. Will definitly buy it!

  19. Joe:

Only thing is that they should have gone with blue socks instead of black.
I’m sure it will be an option, but I think it should be primary, especially since the home socks are black.
