Official: Korea Republic 2014 World Cup Nike Home Kit

Korea Republic are the latest team to release their new home kit for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil this year.

Supplied by Nike, several Korea players including Myung-Won Seo unveiled the new kit at the Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The new home kit captures their renowned tenacity and loyalty on the pitch and combines the American brand’s performance technology and powerful national symbols. The new home shirt features the nation’s iconic red colour along with blue trim on the shoulders and white trim on the numbers and branding.

The shirt is inspired by the Taegeuk which is the yan and yang circle symbol located in the centre of the Korean flag. The shirt features a unique collar inspired by Korean attire featuring blue trim on the tips. The kit will be complemented with blue shorts and red socks.

Inside the back of the collar a tab features a Tuhon symbol from classic Korean calligraphy that means ‘fighting spirit’. The shirt is compacted with the innovative Dri-Fit technology which stated by Nike“pulls moisture away from the skin to the outside of the garment where it evaporates more quickly.”

The Korea Republic side face a tough task if they are to progress past the group stage as they will be playing Belgium, Algeria and Russia.
