Arsenal 2008/09 Shirt - Rumours Aside.
Hi, Just to clarify… all of the rumours on all the different website pages aside now… This really is the official Arsenal Home shirt for the 2008/09 season. None of this, ooo it could be, might be malarky. this is it. Not too sure on the away shirt yet, but this is it.

Fly Emirates isn’t even printed straight on the front. FAKE.

It is that kit ive seen it loads, but whats with the blue not a nice shirt, non of the arsenal 3 are MINGIN!
youre right, jim and the nike is lower than the arsenal badge. that particular shirt in the pic IS fake but its probably the same design as the real one

How many time does it have to be said. THIS IS NOT THE REAL TOP, IT IS JUST WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE! Therefore it is a fake of the real thing most likely. Hope that is understandable.
This is so obviously photoshopped that it is not even funny. Look at the pixels around the Nike logo, Arsenal logo, Fly Emirates logo, and the printing on the back. What a lame attempt at photoshopping this jersey. Lame, lame, lame. Please do not waste our time with these lame photoshop attempts again.
If this is the new Arsenal shirt then fans should boycott it. The shirt is both ugly and disrespectful to tradition. An Arsenal shirt must white sleeves. At least the redcurrant shirt had some history and was awesome.
No jock tags on real Nike kits for some time now. It’s all ****, George.
This shirt is fake for quite a few reasons,
1- The size of the crest is smaller than the standard one
2- Nike logo isn’t at right place
3- Fly Emirates is not in the middle of the shirt
4- There is ‘Gunners’ printed on the back of the collar (A huge club like Arsenal would never put the club’s ‘nickname’ on their shirts).
I’d rather wait for the real one when it appears on Arsenal’s website…

Just checked 96-98 shirt did. 94-96 had Arsenal on the back.
I don’t think this pic is real. I reckon this will probably be our shirt. I’m hoping not though. I want something different that I wouldn’t expect. I could design this shirt on pro evolution for f**k sake.

Ok, i started this forum… and as an Arsenal season ticket holder, i take it I’m still the only person that thinks this shirt is not at all bad???? I mean christ, how many ways can you actually rework a shirt thats must distinctly have red breast and white sleeves!!!

dissapointing kit
A 2nd rate shirt - An ideal match for a 2nd rate club!
Its a pleasant shirt, would be really good for Charlton, Man Utd, Forrest, Liverpool, Middlesbro or any other team that plays in red shirts, but Arsenal play in white sleeves. They should have only slightly chnaged the current kit, which in my opinion is virtually perfect - they could have changed the gold strips to redcurrent and prehaps altered the collar (or just stuck with the same shirt).
ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN NIKE HAD THE LOGO AT THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF KITS FOR TOTAL 90 A COUPLE OF YEAR AGO. THEY WERE GOOD KIT DESIGNS. EVERYTHING THEYVE DONE SINCE THEN IS ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just been playing around with a few photos taken from legitimate kit releases and on every one the pixels around detail such as badges and sponsors logos are fuzzy as described above.
it looks more like a training top…a rubbish one at that.
i dont mind the shirt at all………..but it does look a bit old fashion.

Oh Jeeeuzus. Everybody who says this i s a fake? It may not be an official image, but it seems to be the the gist of all the designs up to now.
“What’s with the blue”
Arsenal have had a bit of blue on their shirts since the late 80’s….dunno before that, and MUFC on the bottom left? It’s NikeFIT you twerp (hm, an underused word)
It’s alright actually, and i’m a Man U fan.
And another thing! Any proper club wouldn’t have their nickname on it? Most present nike kits have som sort of reference to fan culture or club culture, Man u have the red devil on the back, Barcelona have ‘Mes Que Un Club’ inside the collar, Valencia have a bat, Portugal have the cross from the Bage/national flag on the back…..even the new Adidas kits have it now, Liverpool have the red and white check, Schalke have some slogan inside the collar as well.
Anyway, arsenal had Gunners on the shirt a while back as someone has already pointed out.

This is definately a fake shirt, but I’m pretty certain this will be our home kit. Fake things:
- The blue on the edges of the badge doesn’t get thinner at the bottom on this one, but does on the real badge.
- The overall shape of the badge doesn’t look right. It looks too wide and rounded.
- The nike logo is obviously fake.
- ‘Fly Emirates’ is way off to one side.
Why is everyone moaning about the sleeves not being white? They will look white most of the time as the players will have their arms down. Our shirt for the 04-05 season had half white, half red sleeves, as did the JVC shirt for 94-96. I really like this top and will definately buy it. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s a v-neck.

Its not bad. I prefer white sleves and a bit more gold incorporated, but I’ll buy an arsenal shirt every season, doesnt matter what it looks like.
Im an Arsenal fan and i think its wicked, i think we are going back to the ‘Dreamcast’ shirt with the white parts but overall ok
bit of a disapointment really looks very simillar to one ive already got thats been put in a drawer for years.why not just keep the one weve got now but without the gold stripes and maybe a collar. and why cant we keep to a white away shirt it looks smart and looks good in the crowd as red and white. weve had our fill of dogdy shirts.

It’s more Thailand fake, the Nike tick is wrong and definitley fake and Fly Emirates logo is waaaay too over to the right.
It’s fake this one, the real one doesn’t have that crappy square stiching thing on the bottom left hand side.

First of all this one is a fake but the real one will be similar. Second of all, go to google images and type in “arsenal 08/09 kit” and go to the second page and there is a picture of walcott (obviously computer done) wearing it. You’ll notice its not that bad actually.
Looks like the kit of 1988 and 89 in wich they won the premier league.

The away kit is **** though, I don’t know why apart from tradition we don’t stick with the white away, it looks good next to the red home shirt.
