Arsenal Away Shirt 2012/13

Official: Arsenal 2012/13 Nike Away Kit

We can confirm that the leaks that we brought you in the past weeks of the new Arsenal away shirt were correct, as the new Arsenal kit to be used away from the Emirates Stadium is now official. The shirt is manufactured by Nike and sponsored by Fly Emirates. It is horizontally striped in purple and black, including the sleeves, whose stripes are narrower. The collar is a black crew-neck and the sleeve hems are red. The shirt is complemented by black shorts and by socks striped in purple, black and one red stripe.

Arsenal finished 3rd in the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League and go straight into the group stage of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League. The last time that Arsenal won the Premier League was the 2003/04 season, which was their 13th triumph in the top league in England.

  1. LG:

“Purple Reign” oh Arsenal, well done. Sidebar: think they’ll sell any RvP #10 shirts?

  2. Mr.Robson:

I know something else which is purple……….my helmet!!!!

  3. England are useless at penalties:

    Beautiful kit. Different and nice.

  4. DA77EN:

Class kit for a class club

  5. Pow:

As an Arsenal fan, I’d love to say this is new, inventive or different. But that would be a lie. This is easily the worst kit we’ve had, and I’m gutted. Nike have been terrible so far this year, but this is literally the icing on the cake.

  6. DA77EN:

    POW ain’t got a clue

  7. brn442:

@Pow – obviously – you have been a gunners fan for less than 5 years.

Prince must proud…purple is the new black this season..I’ve given up on seeing traditional club colours on shirts – that aside, well done.

  8. O' Bomber:

It looks kinda plastic. On the whole it’s rather nasty.

  9. Parr:

exact same template as the new celtic away

  10. MattCityBlue:

    NOT STRIPES!!!!! AARRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

THEY ARE HOOPS! THEY GO AROUND!

  11. Gabriel:

    Man U.
    Nothing to say…
Only, nike this so simple man =/

  12. Steggz:

Why are the stripes on the sleeves not as wide as those on the body?

  13. Edu Leonardi:

I can’t think that nobody from the Arsenal Board made Nike the question: “why did you make us a kit so similar to the last years Man Utd kit?” Now it’s done. And it isn’t a beautifulshirt for the Gunners.

  14. Milfman_NUFC:

purple shorts would look so much better with this kit

  15. SkyBluePhoenix:

    @Parr: no it isn’t.
What about the third kit? I can’t help that the away kit from the season just gone is too similar to this one for them to use it as a third.

  16. United !!!:

its practically just using Man Utd’s away kit last year n change it frm blue to purple!

  17. Brown land:

    wow that is terrible

  18. truth:

    l o l

  19. El Patriato:

this is abso hideous!! as an arsenal fan i’m just happy ’bout the adidas rumours surfin around thz days!!

  20. tonesterwolf:

Was thinking the same as skybluephoenix regarding the third strip. With regards to this its just not arsenal for me. Think its because utd had one so similar.

  21. Rob:

    Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like a kn0b

  22. Jebus:

No no no no no. Arsenal away kit = YELLOW. Is a little tradition too much to ask?

Between 1969 and 2001, Arsenal away kits were yellow with blue trim every year bar 3. We like our yellow. Give it back please.

  23. Caleb:

    Man U!!! o wait…

  24. George Lazenby 007:

erm…dunno what to say-at least its ‘unique’

  25. Cal:

Purple..hmm, isn’t there another North London club who have had many a’purple kit in the past…?

  26. nicholai:

Pow for the purple shirt to ‘literally’ be the icing on the cake for a terrible year for nike then it would have to be icing. and not a shirt. and also on a cake and not a website.

  27. Arsenal 9:

Lovely kit come on the gooners
