Nottingham Forest Home Shirt leak
Although it is a closely-guarded secret, pictures of the new Nottingham Forest home shirt have been leaked prior to the official unveiling that will take place in July. Nottingham Forest had supplied its fans with a preview of part of the shirt and stated that the new kit will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the club’s triumph in the European Cup (nowadays knows as UEFA Champions League). Below you can see Nottingham Forest defenders Julian Bennett (right) and Kelvin Wilson (left) modelling the new home shirt.
The Forest’s new home strip has a red base colour, with white as a secondary colour. The collar, underarm details and ends of sleeves are white, as well as the shirt sponsor logo (CapitalOne), Nottingham Forest crest and Umbro logo. The new shirt will be worn with white shorts which have red details on the sides. Nottingham hope that this shirt will bring them the luck they need to remain in the Championship and bring back their glory days. The official unveiling ceremony will take place on the 10th July and the kits will go in stores as from the 11th July.
same as every other umbro shirt. looks poor and unoriginal. why is the umbro logo still at the guys shoulders?
I actually really like this shirt, the crest being in a circle with the 2 stars to commemorate the european cup wins is a nice touch.

I agree with Cammy, the umbro logo is to high & makes the shirt look unbalanced. It is ok on the England shirt where they have a numer underneath but for league teams they should move it down.
I’ve nothing against the kit but someone tell me whats changed?
the umbro symbol is that high because the players number is designed to go underneath but the the premier league refuse to allow this.
I think the real reason is that when the photographers and TV focus on the players faces the logo is still visible.

also in regards to what ‘h’ said. the capital one logo, neck line and the crest are different.
At least Umbro are clever enough to commemorate the european cup win in the correct season (1978/79-2008/09), unlike Nike who always do it a season late (ie Celtic’s shirt commemorating 40 years since1966/67 win in 2007/08).
actualy tim celtic won the european cup on the 25th of may 1967 and nike released the shirt that month because it would of been 40 years that month

New badge is awesome
That may be true Gavin, but they should have been worn in the 40th season after the event, not the 41st. That logic won’t work for the new United third kit either, as they won it on the 29th May 1968 but it’s not out yet and like Celtic it will be worn 41 seasons afterwards but with “40th anniversary” on it.
tim think aboot it ya clown. celtic were the 40th aneversary shirt on 06/07 although it was won in may 1967. a new shirt wud huv been released by may 25th 2007 if we worn it for the 06/07 season

Your European Cup winning campaign was in the 1966/67 season. It wasn’t just won on one day in May was it? You had to play 8 other matches, starting against FC Zurich in 1966.
I’d say the clown is someone who doesn’t realise that Nike and the club determine the release dates of the new kits - they are not set in stone. They would simply have released a new shirt at a later date wouldn’t they?
OK Shirt. I also believe the Umbro sign is high so that it appears in head shots. More pointless stars on shirts. Only Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United should be allowed a star on their shirt. Forest, like Man City, Huddersfield, Ipswich and Doncaster Rovers should be told to remove theirs.
Forest should only be allowed to have stars on their shirt when they are in Europe, and there’s no chance of that for a while.

Yeah, why would Arsenal have a star on their shirt, D King? Forest have more of a right to wear stars as they’ve actually won the European Cup.
I agree about City though, whose three stars above their crest are “Purely decorative” according to their website! What stopped them putting six or seven on there I’ll never know…

Like it,best kit for a long time!Not a huge difference from last season i agree but there was no need to make many changes as that was a nice strip.I will definately be buying this when it comes out and wearing it with pride on hols!
Arsenal should have a star for winning 10 (or more) League Titles. This is what the Italians do, who I believe were the first to put stars above their badges.
Liverpool have stars when they play in Europe, which is what Forest should do, if they ever play in Europe again.

I’m not too keen on the badge and the capital one sign, looks no different really. But i will be buying it even though i don’t particularly rate it! We should wear the stars with pride and respect towards Brian Clough!

I think this new N.Forest Shirt is amazing! The badge is so retro its a change and a change for the better all it needs now is the retro pin stripes going down
It stands out from the other teams shirts. The new badge is awesome and i cannot wait to buy it! Then i will get ” I 8 Derby ” on the back of it

this is a nice shirt and i think the circle really gives it character and i also like the plainess of it all but it would be great if we could have nike or adidas to make the shirt but this won’t happen because the chairman is on the umbro board
