Sorry to see such a wonderful partnership come to an end. However, I am looking forward to seeing what Nike will do with the French account. Yes, that grey 96 shirt was well out of order, like Venables managing England - unless there is some historical reason for that colour that I don’t know about.

No, No, No, England MUST stay with Umbro. Umbro shirts are more comfortable than Nike and Adidas, but more importantly Umbro are an English company, if people took pride in British things, and brought British made things we would not lose our manufactoring base to China, and watch Vauxhall, Fords Rover, and Peugeot pull out of Luton, Dagenham, Birmingham & Coventry respectively. England wear English designed shirts, which is better than wearing German or American ones.

Here here. About the shirts, England doesn’t change because Umbro is a BRITISH company and IMHO it’d be almost betraying the brand.
Intersting to see what Nike do with the French kit, considering there are three colours on the flag and 3 stripes in adidas shirts. hmm…

toon fans are maybe the most passionate in britain i wouldnt go as far as the world. for example….some of the big teams in Rio, partizan & red star belgrade, turkish teams….id say theres no passion in spanish football
