New Wigan Athletic Badge For 2008/9 Onwards.

The program for Saturdays game against Tottenham Hotspur revealed that a new Wigan Athletic club badge will be revealed in May. A small preview of the new badge is shown in this picture. This will replace the current councill badge that has been used since 1998. As is seen in the picture, it looks like a return to the ever popular tree and crown badge which is favourd amongst Latics fans. Chief Execitve Brenda Spencer said:

“We have considerd the comments and opinions of our supporters throughout the development process and we belive the new design will be a symbol with which supporters young and old can relate. It’s introduction will mark the begining of another new era for Wigan Athletic and we are looking forward to it’s launch with great anticipation”

    If you search on google images you will find an old picture of a round wigan athletic badge so I’m guessing it will be similar

    Just googled the old one. If it’s like that I wouldn’t worry about not seeing the image here. Imagine a piece of broccoli sticking out of a crown.
