New Uruguay National Home Shirt

Posted on May 10th, 2008 in Uruguay by zebra10

This is the new National Uruguay Home Shirt. Uruguay, who currently are ranked 28th in the FIFA World Rankings have managed to win the World Cup twice in their long history.

Their new kit is light blue, mainly plain just like the puma template. Shirt sponsor Puma’s logo is on the right while the nation’s crest is just over the heart. The puma logo can also be found on the sleeves. There is also a touch of black around the neck and around the sleeves.

Mate, your the first to say that. They are way over used. I’ll admit that it is nice but no need to make it the template for all tops from Tottenham to Italy. Puma are pure shite now, they are worse then Umbro with their away tops last year (white).

I have to say this for each and every Puma kit: they are all so ‘unique’ and ‘innovative’. If you would watch a black-and-white photos of all Puma kits, you wouldn’t be able to distinguish them…

Any news on when it’s released?

Being a designer for Puma must be the world’s cushiest job. You only need to come up with one template and fire it out in various colours with a different badge on.

Really nice jersey, much better than all the recent uruguayan jerseys. A return to simplicity…love the design.

pure ****,nice jersey but too much black, never understand why they always use so much black when the colors of the flag are mostly blue white and a yellow sun.
Last years puma jersey was a lot nicer with less black and the faded sun in the jersey which made it unique.

Pure class. Not too much black at all. They abandoned black in the mid 90s and even added royal blue shorts and sky blue socks but it looked pathetic(Ennerre). Sky/black/black is classic Uruguay. Why do Italy play in azzurri blue then when their flag is green/white/red? Or Holland in orange? It’s called tradition.

blue had something to do with their history smart ***.to be “traditional” it would be a light blue with white collar and black shorts like always.
