New 2008 Santos shirts launched
On Monday 3rd March, Santos presented the kits that they will be wearing for the 2008 campaign. The first and second kits remain basically the same as last year’s kits. The latest novelty is the third kit that will be used for some of the away games. Shirts for the “Fish” (as they are nicknamed) are manufactured by Umbro and are sponsored by Semp Toshiba.
The new Santos Shirt
The home kit has a white base colour with some details in gold around the chest. The crest of Santos appears on the left, while the badge of Umbro and the shirt number underneath it appear on the right. The sponsor name appears in red on the centre of the shirt.

Away Shirt
The away shirt is white and black. The frontal central part is white with three black lopsided stripes. The Santos badge appears on the left as well, with the Umbro badge on the right side. However, there are no shirt numbers on the front of the shirt. The sleeves are in black, with some white details on the shoulders.
Santos Third Kit
The new blue third kit for Santos is very eye-catching. It has a navy blue base colour with yellow/gold details on the front and on the shoulders. The shirt number on the front also appears in gold, on the right side below the Umbro symbol. Shirt’s sponsor Semp Toshiba’s logo appears in white on the centre of the shirt.

the white and blue look like tottenham… which is a very classy kit. i like how the stripes stop on the home kit. but i think it calls too much attention to the Umbro logo. I don’t like when the kit makers logo is huge (Kappa is the worst)…
Just to let you know, Jeff, the striped shirt is the away shirt; the home shirt is plain white. I agree with you about the stripes stopping around the umbro logo. I don’t know why the away strip has white shorts and socks - they should really be black.
According to the above statement the striped shirt doesn’t have numbers on the front, but I can see a number ‘10′ on the shirt under the sponsor in the photo!
globesporte.com is a great website for keeping up to date with the Brazilian league, Brazilian state championships and Copa Libertadores competition.
I meant globoesporte.com!
re: the away shirt
“However, there are no shirt numbers on the front of the shirt.”
