New Racing Club Penalty Kits
Penalty has unveiled the new kit for Racing Club, which will be worn for the first time this Saturday. The new kit incorporates the latest technology and innovations, but includes important references to the history of the club.

The new shirt goes back to the classic look of four light blue stripes, with the club crest and a star, representing the intercontinental cup won in 1967, on the middle of the chest just below the manufacturers logo. Meanwhile, the sponsor´s logo is located in the center of the shirt in blue.

On the shoulders and the lowest part of the sleeves there are details in grey, including a racing-style checkered pattern going from the armpits to the end of the sleeves. The new kit uses a material called “Cool Fit,” which has been designed to make the shirt lightweight and comfortable.
The new kit will be available starting in October and will include a special packing, in an effort to market the new shirt as a collectable piece for Racing fans.

Never heard of Penalty but not a bad shirt, pity about the macro logo on back though
I’m not convinced about the checked pattern underneath the arms and I don’t like the fleckled pattern on the shoulders. It looks a bit early ’90s.
oh i love it! and why? not for the coventry city 1992 flecks, not for the liverpool away kit grey squares. It’s because it has STRIPES ON THE BACK! An increasingly vanishing concept. This stupid idea that a refreee can’t see a black number against a background of light blue and white, or a yellow number against red and blue, is patronising.
Bring back back-stripes!!
I agree with pete,
Bring back the back stripes !!!
Stripped shirts with gap on the back look very ugly especially if you buy a shirt with no number.
i prefure hoops on the back tbh
Pete, you said a mouthful. Spot on. We did fine for eighty years with stripes on the back, then UEFA got arsey, and now the Celtic, Barcelona, AC Milan kits all look ridiculous from the back. Surely common sense will prevail. I can’t imagine Argentina’s national side, or Paraguay, even Peru, would wear this totally unnecessary rule.
Yes striped backs, it’s funny how most fans hate the single coloured backs, yet most clubs with stripes/hoops have them. I guess it’s because most shirts now have name, numbers and sponsers on the back, and it is very important that the sponser can be read.
John Devlin, who wrote the brilliant True Colours books has written stuff on his website about striped back shirts and its good to see that there seems to be a majority in favour.
It’s not even as if you can read the names, numbers and sponsers for most of the game anyway.
I agree with the most of all. On one level the kit is quite nice, but the shoulders and under arms spoil it.
Damn right. Striped / hooped shirts look shite with plain backs. Reading have a nice shirt from the front but the back looks ridiculus, the same goes for many others. Why do UEFA have to tinker with absolutely everything, it drives me mad.
I think the leeds away/3rd shirt (striped) looks quite good with a solid sky blue back.
I can see why PSV or Juventus, for example, may need a little extra contrast on the back of their shirts, but the Milan’s and Barca don’t need a solid back. Another stupid UEFA rule.
Pete, you said a mouthful. Spot on.
