New Middlesbrough 07/08 Shirt, Sponsored by Garmin
Here is the new Middlesbrough shirts for the 2007/08 Premier League season, they are the same as the images posted recently but with old sponsor 888.com replaced by Satellite Navigation company Garmin, they have the club’s new badge on the left chest.
Boro recently wore these shirts in a pre-season friendly against Shalke 04 of Germany, but they did not feature the new shirt sponsors logo. The deal with GARMIN will be the biggest in the club’s history, initially it is for one year for a seven figure sum, with negotiations already taking place to extend that. The shirt sponsorship deal was announced at the news conference to officially unveil new signing Tuncay Sanli.
Talking about the delay in getting the club’s shirt out for fans, Middlesbrough’s Head of Commercial Graham Fordy said:
“We understand the frustration of our supporters in the wait to announce our new sponsorship because it has had the knock-on effect of delaying the launch of our new shirts, however, we were determined to get a deal that was right for Middlesbrough Football Club. As a consequence, we had turned down several sponsorship offers, as we did not feel they reflected our true value. In fact, our previous sponsors, 888.com, were keen to continue for a further season.”
The new Boro shirts should both be launched in the middle of August.
the most frustration has come from the fact that you’ve ad more kits over the last decade than united have!! new home and away every year!!??? do us a favor!!

Looks like a lower-leagues kit!! Lıke somethıng a sunday league team would wear. It´s way too simple. Should have had more design features. The best part´s the collar and thats just bad

I think the kit is very smart but the sleeves and the shorts are always way too long. What annoys me is the new badge. The 1986 logo was very well drawn by a friend of mine during the Dickens era but this shield and scroll on the new one is a joke. It disappears when reduced and looks inferior to other clubs badges when sat together. I can’t believe MFC will shell out a fortune replacing every old badge around the stadium with this poor effort. I hope Boro revert to using the lion only after this season.
Whoever did the new logo must be an ammeter. I hate it and won’t even buy a new shirt with it on. Bad workmanship. Maybe they should get a professional to redraw it?

take away those stupid stripes and youve got a nice kit. im a liverpool fan but tbh i think the nike kits are the only good ones so far. the others especially umbro and adidas are absolute ****.

Both kits are nice, i like the away one best though,the home one is plain bit i like the faded stripes on it.

Congrats to boro for the release of their 30th and 31st shirts since the beginning of the Premier League. Their 14th home and away shirt in as many years.

I don’t like these new kits, They look cheap and nasty.
Biggest problem is that Steve Gibson aparently has shares in errea which means were probably stuck with the dodgy make for many new kits to come. Bring back the old badge (But change the year on it) and put the white stripe across it again. That was our identity and it’s gone!

I think that our new kit is ok, that’s all you can say about it! Its just a boring shirt with the new tacky badge. And why oh why stick with crappy errea?!?!?! If it is true Steve Gibson does have shares we will be stuck with them for years to come. Maybe if the got a decent kit make, for example Nike, Adidas, Umbro, Puma to say a few, shirt sales would increase dramatically!
errea are a shocking kit manufacturer. never ever made a good kit. boro should get a new supplier. even a bog standard umbro template kit would be better. reminds me of my school kit!
