New Liverpool Away 2008/09 Shirt (Grey)
Hot on the heels of pictures of Liverpool’s home and european kits for next season is a shot of the supposed new away kit manufactured by adidas. As soon as the shots of the 08/09 shirt appeared rumours were that the away kit would be silver/grey in a throwback to the famous mid 1980’s Candy & Crown Paints sponsored Liverpool kits.
Grey Liverpool 08/09 Kit
The new away shirt has a chequered pattern all across it, which is a similar design theme to the trim seen on the 2008/09 green European shirt. The adidas three stripes are in red, as is the company’s logo which appears just beneath the collar centrally, the Liverpool badge is on the left chest and Carlsberg appears in white across the middle.

It has grown on me since i first saw it. I can understand

I’m not sure about ANY of the new kits…will have to see better pics of them before i judge them, but this shirt doesn’t look too bad, or the european shirt, just the home shirt is a little dissapointing…look how nice our current home shirt looks!

First i didn’t like the Black Away shirt, and then this…
for me Black is a sad, dark color… and I cant remember that Liverpool has never used the “color” black before in their Shirts before… so why did they start this season…
well we had that grey with “Candy” in mid-80′ies… but still i don’t like these colors for a real Liverpool-player shirt…
My preferred colors for a Liverpool-shirt is:
at Home: All Red
at Away: White with red…
3rd shirt: Green or Yellow with Red or White
Fit shirt, back with the retro designs. All you pricks get a grip.
I like it grey,it looks like 80’s away shirt with jersey-sponsor Candy.
I also like the chess-like grey.
I think that l’pool away shirts should be yellow,white-green,or grey.
Not black-red,also because it looks like ac Milan shirt,and I don’t think l’pool fans love ac Milan now.

I think the grey one is good as a throw back to the late 80s. True, it shouldnt be permanent, but its for one season, and i really dont mind changing around our away shirts.

This is a remake of the 1988-89 and 1989-91 away shirts. Is a welcome change from white and yellow. The grey would look better as silver - could be done by changing texture on the ‘chess’ section.
I reckon we shud have black and yellow halfs like blackburns away red and black !! its awsome

Liverpool had this colour kit back in 87/88-88/89-89/91.
Maybe the carlsberg should be red,i remember the first kits coming out in ‘87 with white crown paints & realised that it couldn’t be seen so it went to red.But carlsberg would probably have it green.Also when Liverpool last won the league championship they played in silver/grey.
Hopefully it may give the lads some luck.

As they are the very similar tothe kit of the 89 season

I didn’t like the black euro kit at first, but it grew on me. I have a feeling that will happen with this one. My favorite ‘pool kit ever (besides the red) is the old white w/ green 3rd kit. I think the one thing adidas got right this year is the new black GK kit… Gorgeous!

HOME:Red, GK:Black
AWAY:White w/green (old Euro kit), GK:Grey (long-sleeve version of new away kit)
EURO:Grey (new away kit), GK:Green (current away GK kit)

Wow I wasn’t expecting such a strong reaction from this. Liverpool and green doesn’t work. I think that’s been a Carlsberg influence. We haven’t won anything when away kit has been green. Grey (although I prefer silver) is the last colour we won the league in. Hopefully that will be a good signal for the year ahead. Not sure why sponsorship in white. Mus admit never been a fan of the stripes of adidas.

I think its alright…I bought the new home one without the Carlsberg sponsorship…quality. And now we have grey/silver, just like 1989-90, when we last won the league! Bring in David Villa and we’ll do it!!!

i dont like the red adidas badge under the coller think it sould have been white like mine is make the shirt look alot batter and the 2 little badges on the bottom cornors of the shirt are a waste of space i got the shirt with the white adidas badge under the coller and with out the 2 little things in the cornors on the shirt makes it look a lot batter i think

I have just bought the new liverpool shirt. I think it is really smart and cool!. I went to watch the game against lazio and a lot of people were wearing the new kit. my kit has got torres on the back of it.
