MK Dons 08/09 Home Kit

Posted on July 6th, 2008 in MK Dons by reddevilrooney

MK Dons was founded in 2004 as a continuation of Wimbledon FC. After their position in League Two last season, MK Dons will now play the 2008/09 season in League One, which is the third tier of English football behind the Premiership and the Championship. After Paul Ince led them to this feat, he left for a better post at Blackburn in the Premiership, while Swiss-Italian retired midfielder Roberto di Matteo took over as Dons manager. In the press conference to present their new manager, di Matteo’s first task was to unveil the new home strip that the team will be wearing for the 2008/09 League One campaign.

The shirt has a traditional white colour, supplied by sportswear giants Nike and sponsored by Marshall Amplifications. Nike make use of their Dri-FIT technology to keep the players cool and comfortable during matches, and to wick sweat away from the skin. The shirt is well-ventilated and removes moisture quickly from the skin. The shirt has a wrap-over collar, and black details on the left chest and on the back of the shoulders. The sleeves have a black piping trim.

Wow, some people really won’t let it go,

They are now Milton Keynes Dons, and have done rather well in the past couple of years. I wish them all the best.

Ash, wait til your club gets murdered and then see how you react to “let it go”-type remarks

Off the peg Nike design bought by the McDons, trying to impress the rest of the football world by buying shirts from a big name manufacturer, pretending to be a proper football team. My sunday league team could have this if they wanted.

God i love Roberto Di Matteo! The shirts alright, plain but nice

Wake up franchise fans. The guy who stole Wimbledon and dumped it in Milton Keynes was subsequently convicted of fraud (on another matter) and tasted a bit of Nowegian porridge for his trouble. Kjell Inge Rokke’s the man. He hasn’t been convicted of the theft of Wimbledon F.C.. Not yet.

I’m not aware of the politics or history behind what happened to MK Dons , But as an unbiased football jersey lover , I personally think it’s one of the most beautiful jersey’s I’ve ever seen … I’m serious !!! But maybey I’m not so biased after all , I actually am a user of Marshall and I think that has to be the nicest sponsor , and I will buy it just because of Jim Marshall !!!!

MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. It’s a entirely new franchise team set up in 2004. Again i repeat, MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. MK Dons is NOT Wimbledon FC. Get this in your head.
