Posted on September 23rd, 2008 in Australia by luckyliam10

Melbourne Victory is an Australian team that currently plays in the Hyundai A-League. The competition is into it’s 4th season with Melbourne Champions in the 2nd season and looking title contenders this season currently on top.

The home shirt has been designed by Reebok and features a v-shaped neck. The shirt is navy blue in colour and has a big white V running through the middle of the shirt with silver lining on the outside of this. It features the club logo inside the V on the left side of the chest with the league logo on the right side of the chest also inside the V.

The shirt-makers logo is found above the middle of the V with the main sponsor below the V in white. The league sponsor Hyundai is found on the left sleeve with Melbourne’s sponsor KFC on the right sleeve.

Home Shirt

The away shirt for the 2008/09 season is gray in colour and features a round neck. The shirt has the big white V running through it but this time it runs onto the sleeves creating a larger effect. The remainder of the sleeves which are not covered in white are black in colour. Logo positioning is the same as the home shirt with the main sponsor being blue in colour not white.

Away shirt

The third shirt for the 2008/09 season is the Asian Champions League shirt which is no longer in use because they have been knocked out of the competition.

The shirt features the navy blue from the home shirt but no big white V with a gold effect around the shoulders and sleeves replacing this. The club logo is in its traditional position with the shirt-makers logo and sponsor following suit.

Melbourne Victory’s home and third shirts are the best of the 7 Australian and New Zealand club shirts featured so far.
