Malmö FF’s Malmö Stadion 50 year anniversary kit

To commemorate the last season to be played at their home ground of 50 years, Malmö FF and Puma have released a limited edition anniversary kit to be worn on the first and last home games of the 2008/09 season. They will retain the home kit from the current season for all other home games next season.

Malmö FF’s Anniversary Shirt

Malmö FF anniversary kitMalmö Stadion was built for the FIFA World Cup in 1958 and was completed eariler in that year. Designed by the same architect as the Nya Ullevi, it has been the home of Malmö FF since its completion. They are moving to the currently under construction Swedbank Stadion, which will be completed in time for the 2009/10 season.

The anniversary kit is modelled on the kit worn in the 1974/75 Cup Winners’ Cup, and is free from advertising. The predominantly white shirt features a light blue stripe down the left side of the shirt, which continues into the shorts. It also features a motif of the stadium in the centre of the chest, with the words “Tack Malmö Stadion, 1958-2008″ underneath. The kit also features light blue socks.

    blue is the old malmo blue not modern (lighter)malmo blue.

    Also, whatever happened to the “next page” and “prevoius page” links at the bottom of the index pages? I used to be able to look through all the old posts but now I can only see the first (most recent) page…

    i’ll mention to the editors about the images, they don’t show in internet explorer if they aren’t positioned quite right. You can use the archive page to see all the latest posts, I’ll try and add a link to that at the bottom of the page where next/previous used to be.

    “is free from advertising” not strictly true.the actually match shirts have all the sponsers.its much the same as the normal replicas.they get rid of most of the sponsers.but the few that they have auctioned off so far have all the sponsers on too.so prehaps there is just a few sponser free replicas going on sale. not a bad shirt. still prefer the normal home kit, so its good this is just for the IFK Göteborg and GIF Sundsvall games
