Macclesfield Town 07/08 Home Shirt

Posted on April 17th, 2007 in Macclesfield Town by 01news

The Macclesfield Town new home shirt for 2007/08 season has been unveiled, it will be produced by sportswear company A-Line and sponsored by the Cheshire Building Society.

The unusal design of the shirt features a white S on the blue background and will be worn with white shorts. Supporters had been offered the chance to help design the shirt in a competition, winner and lifelong fan Colin Farnworth said on the club’s official site:

“It’s a really proud moment and I hope everyone likes the design. The S, so prominent to the design is intended to reflect both the town’s and the club’s history. The S is akin to a silken thread and of course S for Silkmen.”

The Silkmen will wear their new shirt for the first time in the last home game of the season against Notts County on the 5th May.
