Manchester City Third Shirt 2012/13

Leaked: Manchester City 2012/13 European Third Shirt

Manchester City wrestled the Barclays Premier League trophy from previous holders Manchester United in the last match of the 2011/12 season thanks to a goal from Sergio Aguero in extra time. The blue side of Manchester celebrated their third domestic league triumph in their entire history, with the last First Division title coming in 1967/68. The triumph came thanks to the spending on Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the guidance of manager Roberto Mancini.

This is a leaked picture of what could be the club’s third kit to be used in European matches during the 2012/13 season. This has not yet been officially launched. The shirt is manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by Etihad Airways. The body and sleeves are vertically striped in grey and black, the collar is a black crew neck, and the sleeves have a light blue edge.

  1. Am i first?:

    Yes im effing first

    Just thought id annoy y’all

  2. Ryan:

This is really nice and this is coming from a Chelsea supporter.

  3. Mustachioed Gentleman:

Nice contrast to the home kit. Solid last effort from Umbro for City. Shame they are going to Nike and their generic and just plain weird (Man U home kit) designs.

  4. MattCityBlue:

Nice colours….but is it really a world away from last seasons away shirt?
It looks like a once forgotten prototype emerging from a dusty design board.

  5. El Patriato:

really great, pity nike is taking them over next season and by the way it’s going they wanna take all of umbro sponsored clubs before they sell umbro next year, what a disgrace!!

  6. Jake:

That’s really lovely. I like the fact it’s just simply contrasting shades of blue.

  7. NCFC1:

Good Lord that’s a nice shirt

  8. Jarkko:

Reminds me slightly of Inters euro kit for 2005…but obviously in stripes not hoops

  9. Steggz:

Don’t like it. I don’t think the stripe colours work well together. Plus they’ve fiddled with the badge colours, and this is quickly becoming a hobby horse issue.

  10. Jungle Bhoy.:

Nice top but it reminds me of a GK top.

  11. United !!!:

not a biased opinion but i don’t quite like it. it looks to greyish and seems unexciting

  12. truth:

    best kits in europe again
    umbro will be sorely missed

  13. yorkshireimp:

Another outstanding shirt from Umbro; such a shame to think this will be the last decent shirt for six seasons.

  14. tonesterwolf:

that’s lovely, yet more evidence that Nike shouldn’t have taken over the City deal.

  15. big t:

Boys and girls, I present to you the Glasgow Rangers away kit 2007/08.
Come on umbro, must try harder for the epl champs!

  16. cityboy:

Just checked out big t’s comment and it is the double of the Gers away top from a few years ago!

  17. Amy:

If this is the ‘official’ 3rd kit- does anyone know the release date??

  18. truth:

well this is the rangers away 07/8

so assuming you meant the 3rd instead

yeah i’d say not too close

  19. Trev:

Got to be one of the better designs around, clean and precise, no frills and stylish – unlike the luminous yellow from 10 years ago. My God what were City thinking then. As A BWFC fan wish we knew what our 2nd and 3rd kits are going to be, rumours are green and orange !!!!!

  20. U RRRRRR's:

Good Stuff!!!! Much better than last year’s away one

  21. ribery:

f*ck this one is nice… id buy this if it wasnt an english team

  22. Sainty:

Cracking top, proving once again that Man City are probably the coolest club in the land.

    Hail, hail.
