JJB boss critical of new England away shirt

Posted on January 15th, 2008 in England, JJB Sports by admin

New Chief Executive of JJB Sports Chris Ronnie has said of the England new away Shirt:

“We don’t think that Umbro has gone about the design in the right way, the design of the new England away shirt is not as strong as it could have been, and we made that very clear to Umbro when it was presented to us.”

JJB are said to be ordering record low numbers of the shirts due to England’s failure to make Euro 2008, but also because it is poorly designed. Kit manufacturers Umbro are not due to officially unveil the away shirt until February 4th 2008.
