Israel Unveil New Crest

The Israel Football Association have unveiled a new crest which will grace their new 08-09 home and away kits. Israel are currently ranked  20th in the Fifa World Rankings and have been drawn with Greece, Switzerland, Moldova, Latvia and Luxemborg in their 2010 World Cup Qualifying Group. Their first international match as Israel was against USA where they lost 3-1. Israel also made a World Cup appearance in 1970.

    It’s a shame that football can’t be removed from religion and politics. Although stars, moons and sickles also appear as shirt emblems.

    Saying that we have 3 lions, and zoos aside the only lions we’ve ever had are dandilions.

    The star of david is on the Israeli flag. How can you remove politics (or religion) from nations that display flags on their jerseys?

    Actually, that’s not a fake as the dude before me said.
    The IFA revealed that crest as the new crest 2 days ago in a press conference.

    There’ve been rumors going around that Israel will play with Adidas for the next 2 campaigns, but Puma released a new kit (Similar to the African nations’ Puma kits) to Israel, so it’s not official.
