Ipswich Town Away Shirt 08/09

Ipswich Town have just announced the design for the away shirt 2008/09 made by Mitre. Like last years home shirt, the first 2500 orders will get a shirt featuring three stars above the badge to commemorate the league title in 61, the FA Cup win in 78 and the UEFA Cup in 1981. Pre-orders will commence from the 15th March 2008 (Ipswich V Charlton) and the closing date for all pre-orders is 31st May 2008.

The shirt is mainly red with black piping starting from either side of the neck running down the end of the chest and to the bottom of the body, the clubs logo is on the left of the chest and the makers logo (Mitre) is on the right of the chest when worn. Ipswich Town’s sponsor (e-on) has their logo in white, running along the chest.

    Get rid of those stars. Ipswich, like Doncaster, Man City and Huddersfield are not worthy of stars. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United yes, as they have won 10 titles. The others No, It’s a bit like Northern Ireland sticking stars on their shirt for qualify for World Cups (82 and 58).

    You forgot to mention that the sponsor is changing next season. E.ON will no longer be Ipswich’s sponsor. The new sponsor is likely to be marcus evans ltd.

    Mate, we won the FA cup against Arsenal 2 - 0 and thrashed them even though we were underdogs. The Uefa cup which was harder to win than the champions league and the League after coming up from the championship the league before. So we kinda do need them on there

    First of all you clearly know nothing about football. For starters, Manchester United and Liverpool have both won far more than 10 trophies each. Secondly, the first star means WON THE UEFA CUP, second star means WON THE FA CUP, and the third star means WON the TOP DIVISION in English football. This is in addition to several well know finals and semi-finals. Town have also won many lesser known titles as well - so, think before you write.

    How can you say we should not have 3 stars when we have won the leauge the FA cup wich we won 1 0 against arsenal and the UEFA cup aswell….

    i think the new kit looks very good however it looks better with EON rather than Marcus Evans ltd.. but it doesent matter because if you are a true fan you should like and purchace the new kit no matter what it looks like.
