Hibernian secure Intertoto sponsor

During their Intertoto cup campaign, Hibernian’s shirts will bear the name of the Hibernian Community Foundation, the club’s own charity.

Whyte and Mackay will remain the official shirt sponsor during the upcoming SPL season, but due to UEFA’s ban on the advertisement of high-strength alcohol in their competitions, the sponsor has again been forced off the front of the green and white shirts.

The club has suffered from this problem in previous Intertoto cup campaigns - Carling stepped in during Hibs’ previous 2 campaigns in the pre-season competition.

Unfrotunately for Hibs fans, they may only see the new shirts one more time - in the away leg of the club’s tie with Swedish side Elfsborg, after the Swedish side took a commanding 2-0 aggregate lead after a win at Easter Road.

More information is available on the club’s official website

UEFA have banned high strength alcohol sponsors.

Liverpool will be alright then & Chesterfield must be glad they didn’t make it into Europe.
