Hibernian FC extend kit supplier deal with Le Coq Sportif
Scottish Premier League club Hibernian FC have officially extended their partnership agreement with French manufacturers Le Coq Sportif for another season. The present deal expires at the end of the current campaign, and the new agreement means that the French sportswear company will also supply home and away kits to the Scottish mid-table club for the 2009/10 season. The club looked at other alternatives before deciding that the best option was to stand by the current kit manufacturer, and complete a decade of kits manufactured by Le Coq Sportif. As usually happens after such renewal agreements, both parties come out in the press expressing their delight at the deal:

After a lengthy and very thorough tender process and examination of the market, Le Coq Sportif once again provided the best solution for the Club. The commercial benefits and return are of paramount consideration, especially in the current climate, but the players also require the highest possible standard in terms of technical performance of the kit – on both these factors, Le Coq Sportif were by far the best candidate.”
“Coupled with that is the excellent working relationship built over a number of years, and the control and management the Club retains over the design and specification of the kit. It is important that Hibernian FC retains its unique sense of identity through the kit, and the extended agreement allows the Club to have that. We are very excited about the new kit and look forward to launching it to the supporters in June.”
