Hannover 96 & TUI sponsorship deal extended
TUI have announced that they have reached an agreement with Bundesliga club Hannover 96 to extend the partnership deal by another three years. This means that the German club’s shirts will bear the logo of TUI Group for another three years until the end of the 2010/11 season. TUI is one of the world’s largest tourist firms, which owns travel agents, hotels, cruise ships and airlines across Europe. Their logo is in the form of a smile, accompanying the company’s slogan “Putting a smile on people’s face”.

The logo TUIfly will continue to appear on Hannover’s shirts. TUI will also have prominent presence in Hannover’s stadium, AWD Arena. Responsible for negotiations were Hannover’s general manager Martin Kind and marketing partner Sportfive. When asked to comment about the completion of the deal, Kind said, “I am delighted that TUI is going to continue to be a strong and dependable partner to Hanover 96 for another three years. This clearly demonstrates our mutual confidence in each other and is an important step for the club in remaining competitive over the medium term, as well as being able to develop successfully in the future.”
Michael Lambertz, Group Marketing Director of TUI said, “We are delighted to continue the successful brand partnership between TUI and Hanover 96, and to support the club on its way to international success, which also helps us to develop the TUI brand all over Europe.” Positive comments were sounded also by Sportfive manager Björn Jäkel who praised the credentials of TUI and expressed his belief that this deal will be a huge success.
