09/10 Green Arsenal Shirt Mockups
Just wanted to share a couple of mockups made by kit designer Whitey that were sent our way by JaY, thanks to both. They should help you get an idea of what the hunter green Arsenal shirt we were talking about in our previous post might look like, if indeed this is what Nike and Arsenal ended up going with.
There has also been some talk about this photo below being a clue as to what Arsenal will wear wear next season, but it seems unlikely that Arsenal shirts will have a design feature that is celebrating Manchester United’s first FA Cup win.
How many “classic” Arsenal away shirts will nike ruin, they did a disappointing job with this season’s 89-90 remake – plus the original 82 green umbro version wasn’t exactly received with praise from the punters to begin with – it will be a bold choice though – It would be nice to have a little yellow in there.
A big no no.
How about coming up with some classics of your own Nike instead of just plundering the Umbro/Adidas designs of the past?

Wow. Actually, if it looks like that I’d buy it. And I’m a United fan*. That’s a really lovely shade of green. I think it would have worked better with white sleeves (or black, but that’s too Liverpool Away Kit really, though it does make for a nice colour-inversion of the home kit)
And I’d rather have minimalist homages than Adidas’… well, acid-inspired frankenshirt. (see Chelsea and Russia’s new kits)
Could it be that the V is a, erm… you know, template thingy for Nike’s ‘09-10 shirts? Although from the Arshavin pic it does look like it would be sky blue and white. A nice choice, but not really… well, Arsenal. They really do work best with yellow (although for god’s sake, don’t put all three primary colours on a shirt! That just isn’t good colour theory!)

No, but it does mean that you don’t buy (and then presumably wear) a rival team’s shirt. If you really want to wear something in “a really lovely shade of green” then why not buy a teamwear jersey or something in that colour.
If I saw you walking down the street in an Arsenal shirt, I’d presume you were an Arsenal supporter. If you then told me you were a “United supporter”, I’d be gobsmacked and probably then assume you were just an idiot.
Honestly, I don’t know how any football supporter could even consider wearing any other team’s shirt, but I suppose that’s what modern “support” is coming to nowadays.
Obviously a fake! I can do a better job at photoshop.

I think the top picture looks better than the bottom picture. It would look better as a skin tight kit, like Roma wears. I know those pics are just mock ups but I really hope they look like that. Great shade of green. I’d definitely go out and buy it if it looked like the first picture.

Im just watching the wales vs england RUGBY match, and england have just come out it red training jackets that have a white “v” on it, and the arsenal kit is either going to be green like the one shown, or blue with a V across it as it seems to be nikes new “thing”.
Oh, by the way, i forgot to mention, im fat.
how about The Gunners win a new trophy in a current shirt, rather than looking back to a time when they actually challenged for a title? Such a cynical money grab by Nike & Arsenal, preying upon fans’ deep memories of the past.
Actually Nike make a shirt with a V for Mexico in the last world cup. It also was green hunter and It was ver nice, here a pic:
I am a fat idiot who hates Arsenal because they boyed my team by selling the flop hleb to us. Now i feel so boyed i just keep posting stuff to try and annoy Arsenal fans when really i am the one who feels like a mega fat flopper with no friends and just a dog.
