Glasgow Rangers Home Kit 2008/09
Scottish Premier League runners-up Rangers have unveiled their new strip for the 2008/09 campaign. They finished last season with 86 points from 38 matches, just three points less than league winner Celtic which got 89 points. Rangers still qualify for the second qualifying round of UEFA Champions League. Their new kit, which can be seen in the picture below, is manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by beer manufacturers Carling, which also sponsor the English League Cup (Carling Cup).
Rangers stand by their tradition and unveil a blue shirt for the coming campaign, being their traditional colour which earned them the nickname Light Blues. The Rangers emblem appears on the left side of the shirt when worn, surrounded by 5 red stars to commemorate their past league triumphs (51 times). The Umbro logo appears on the right shoulder in white. There are also details on white on the sides, around the shoulders, at the end of the sleeves and on the collar. Rangers hope that this new shirt will bring back success to Ibrox Stadium, with their last league triumph being back in 2005.

Not a bad shirt but the umbro logo being high & the sponsors logo being tilted makes the shirt look really uneven.

absolute topper of a kit. finally rangers have come up with a kit to rival the old nike one we had.dont care if theres not enough red in it. it is simple and classy unlike some of the other kits weve had

celtic are the best team in scotland i have a soft spot for them because newcastle utd beat them in the pre - season friendly july the 26th last year the day our last away top came out it was also the day celtic’s away top came out oh and we won 4-1

Past comment, i dont think this is the real shirt as the shirt on rangers megastore is different shade of blue and has not got white on the collar. Also there is a scotland flag on the back of the shirt at the top!
Worst top release all summer its plain simple and ugly think the hun badge makes it look cheap.

Anyway, it’s a nice top. It’s plain and simple, but that’s not a bad thing. Still not seen the back of it, so I’m not sure if the Scotland flag is there. Hope it is. That looked pretty smart.

The shirt looks great, wont matter to Septic fan`s anyway because your player`s will only be seeing the back of it when chasing the Rangers about the park. The 5 start logo is one star for every 10 championships won. This idea originated in Italy until it was hijacked by any club who had won a major honour. I mean fur fux ache Aberdeen have got 2 on thier`s.
