Germany 2010 World Cup Shirt
Germany have launched their 2010 World Cup shirt manufactured by adidas. The launch comes 7 months prior to the opening game of the South African World Cup. The shirt is in traditional white but also includes three thin stripes in black, gold and red representing the German flag.
German Captain Michael Ballack said: “The new jersey gives us an extra spark for the upcoming preparation for the 2010 World Cup.”
“Adidas is the number one brand in football, a fact underlined by today’s presentation of the German jersey and the corresponding communication”, said Erich Stamminger from the adidas Group.
Germany’s road to the upcoming South African World Cup was quite calm after notching 8 wins and 2 draws from their qualifying Group. The Germans finished in first place with 26 points with Russia just behind on 22 points. From 10 matches, Germany finished with a goal difference of +21 conceding just 5 goals and netting 26.
