Finland Home Shirt 2008/09

Posted on February 13th, 2008 in Finland by reddevilrooney

This is the shirt that will be used by the Finland international team home games for the 2008/09 season. It is designed by Adidas, making use of the template called “Toque”.

The shirt has a white base colour and blue as secondary colour. The collar is round and blue. As usual, when it comes to Adidas, there are three stripes on the sleeves, which in the case of the Finnish shirt are blue. The Adidas logo is in the centre on the chest, while the Finland logo is on the left when worn. Under the arms, there is a curved stripe going down to the end of the shirt. The stripe continues at the back of the shirt and is connected to the underarm end of the front stripe. At the back, the stripe gets thinner and forms a U-shape. There are also two small logos on the bottom part of the shirt at the front.

Finland will use the shirt for the World Cup 2010 qualifying campaign where they were drawn in Group 4 and will face Wales, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein, Germany and Russia.

Not helped by Finland’s logo. Why don’t they use the lion from their state flag?
