FC Zurich Home and Away 2008/09

Posted on July 12th, 2008 in Switzerland by reddevilrooney

FC Zurich is a Swiss club based in the largest Swiss City, Zurich. It was founded in 1896 and currently plays in the Swiss Super League, where it ranked third last season, and thus qualified for the First Round of UEFA Cup. Shirts for this club are manufactured by Nike, and sponsored by German tour operator TUI. The club will be looking to take the trophy away from FC Basel in the coming season, after their last triumph was in 2006/07. The new kits that the team will be using were unveiled ahead of this season’s kickoff.

The home shirt will be vertically striped in white and blue, and will have a V-neck white collar with a blue trim. The Nike Swoosh will be blue on a white stripe, while the red TUI logo will be placed in the centre on a white background, and also on white stripes on the sleeves. The sleeves are also striped in the same colours as the body of the shirt.

On the other hand, the away kit will be plain orange, with some details in white on the chest and on the ends of the sleeves. The Nike Swoosh will be white on the right side of the shirt, and the TUI logo will also be white on both sleeves and enlarged on the centre of the shirt.
