Everton Pink shirt 08/09

Posted on September 28th, 2008 in Everton by Ben1991

Everton are set to raise in excess of £75,000 for charity with the re-launch of the official pink replica shirt. The 2008/09 limited edition shirt will be available in November and it arrives following the success of last seasons pink shirt as seen here.

The shirt itself is mainly Pink. There is some white piping around the ends of the sleeves and down the sides of the chest, there is also a white collar. The lub badge is on the eft of the shirt and the makers, umbro, have their logo in the top right of the shirt in white.

Last season Everton raised cash for the Breast Cancer Campaign through the sale of the shirts as part of the Club’s highly successful Ladies Day campaign.

“Last season was a hugely successful campaign but this time around we want to make a bigger splash with our fundraising efforts,” said Ian Ross, Head of PR at Everton.

“The launch of the new pink shirt gives us the opportunity to give something back to the community and hopefully make a difference to the work these charities undertake on a daily basis”.

Telephone pre-orders on 0870 005 2300 can be made now and pre-orders can be made by visiting the two Everton stores at Goodison Park or Birkenhead. Limited numbers will be available and a limit to two shirts per customer. Shirts are priced at £44.99 for adults and £34.99 for juniors with a £5 deposit per shirt required.

“lub badge” very good Freudian slip, or sarcastically written, you decide.

Hope is raises alot of money for a good cause, and that Umbro and Everton don’t profit.

Nice shirt - if the premiership actually cared about anything besides shafting its fans it would encourage other clubs to do the same.

I think its a great idea, a friend of mine has just got over breast cancer and they did a great job. The shirt is always gonna be pink because that is the charitys colour, hence pink ribbons etc. All those of you laughing don’t have to wear it, you could buy it for your girlfriends, but I doubt you have girlfriends do you

they can use it for europe…

Dont know why this is a laughing matter to be honest. Cancer is serious and this is for a fantastic cause, those who were laughing and taking the mick out of it wouldnt be doing so if someone you knew or a family member was diagnosed with breast cancer would you? so why do it now? More clubs should do what everton have done..the world would be better place if they did.

a; I think its a good idea and your opinion that they can poof off by doing something for a good cause(with 2 f’s by the way) is very selfish and typical of the attitude in football these days. And for your information its not for Europe its for charity as it says above if you bothered to read it

Correction to my last post above..2 f’s in the word off not in the word cause if it caused any confusion

This is a brilliant idea set out by EVERTON! the one and only team to support! They have made a fantastic effort in raising money for the Breast Cancer Charity and i think anyone who has a sly or stupid remark to make about it, is mainly just a bad loser with no respect! How would you feel if it was someone close to you who was diagnosed with the illness???

Well Done Everton, i will certainly be pre ordering one!
