Citibank Werder Bremen’s Shirt Sponsor

Citibank have signed a three year sponsorship contract with German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, who reached this year’s UEFA Cup semi-finals.

The deal starts on July 1st and has the option for an additional year built in. The sponsorship package negotiated includes pitch perimeter advertising, ticket packages, a VIP lounge, ties ins between the two for team events and promotions as well as seeing the Citibank name across the front of the Werder Bremen shirt.

Marketing Director at Citibank, Peter Karst thought the company had “secured one of the best advertising spaces in Germany.”

Werder’s Managing Director Marketing and Management, Manfred Müller said:

“We now have the world’s largest retail bank at our side as sponsor….Citibank is an internationally renowned partner and has a broad presence throughout Germany. Another important factor is that the chemistry is right between us and the bank’s management.”

    Werder Bremen were unlucky not to qualify for the Round of 16 in the Champions League(******* jammy cockney chelsea ********)but they can do better if they have an easier group.
