Charlton’s Shirt Sponsors in trouble?

Posted on October 4th, 2007 in Charlton Athletic by 01news

Championship side Charlton Athletic’s shirt sponsorship deal with Spanish property company Grupo Llanera is in trouble after the Spanish firm admitted financial difficulties. They are currently seeking to negotiate a 150 million euro loan from their creditors.

Sponsors troubles are nothing new to Charlton as previous sponsors All:sports go went into administration part way through a GBP 3 million shirt deal in 2005.

Chief Executive of Grupo Llanera, Fernando Gallego said it was a “temporary liquidity problem” with there being 2 million euros in missed payments currently.
