New Chelsea Shirt

Cech To Wear Orange In Tonight's Final

Posted on May 21st, 2008 in Chelsea by zebra10

Chelsea number one keeper Petr Cech is trying to do all the best he can to mess with United’s aim. Cech wants to stand out in tonight’s match and will be wearing an orange kit in tonight’s Champions League Final.

Cech wants to do all he can in his biggest game of his life. He is trying to do all things possible to try to foil Cristiano Ronaldo and Rooney. That is, he will be wearing a specially designed orange shirt developed by Russian Scientists that is produced to distract strikers as they fire in their shots.

“It’s been scientifically proven that you shoot at targets when you see one,” Cech said. “Even when a player wants to shoot into the bottom corner, they see the orange shirt and they can’t ignore the colour because it’s attractive to their eyes. It happens quickly and subconsciously, but eyes cannot ignore such a bright colour.”

Cech has already tried this technique on the last of the Premiership against Bolton Wanderers, when Chelsea needed to beat their opponents in order to try and lift the Premier League. Yet this trick produced some mixed results as Cech got beaten late in the match by Matthew Taylor who hit the net to snatch a draw.

“The studies say the colour is like an alarm or alert which spreads and is very difficult to avoid,” Cech said. “I found this out from a Russian guy working at Sparta Prague when I was there four years ago. He showed me all his studies and I was very impressed.”

Therefore, tonight he will be wearing and testing this trick for the second time and with so much at stake, he must hope that it works perfectly so as to get to one against the Red Devils after losing the Premier League to them by just two points.

they think they’re being really clever with their “science”…but it failed in its first game haha! not to mention the fact that cech now looks like an idiot! now all he needs is a bright orange helmet to really cap it off!

i guess he doesn’t realize that since the players in the premier league have been playing their entire lives, their subconscious motivation is actually to miss the target. i would be willing to bet that the “russian scientists” were using normal people as test subjects, if testing was even done at all…

so in short, he’s just making himself easier to see and thus easier to avoid

The color is actually referred to by adidas as “infared”. It is an almost neon red/orange that is also used in the new line of referee kits from adidas.

Using the “logic” of the Russian, referees will spend most of the game ducking to avoid player passes that will surely be subconsciously aimed at them.
