Bristol Rovers 125th Anniversary Kit

Posted on November 23rd, 2008 in Bristol Rovers by zebra10

Bristol Rovers launched their 125th anniversary celebrations yesterday when they played Swindon Town. The club was given permission by the FA to play in a commemorative black shirt with a yellow diagonal stripe, the same stripe which was worn by the club in 1883. Bristol Rovers were nicknamed Black Arabs due to this kit.

Bristol Rovers were known as Black Arabs in 1883/84 but then had their name changed to Eastville Rovers a season later.

Good shirt. I always like a diagonal stripe on shirts like Peru or Palace, has a retro feel about it.
