Brighton & Hove announce new sponsor
League One club Brighton and Hove Albion, also known as the Seagulls, have announced that they agreed a deal with IT First for the sponsorship of their kits for the 2008/09 season. The deal was agreed upon in May but was kept secret until the process of re-branding of the firm was completed. Dick Knight, CEO of the Seagulls, and Paul Goldsmith, CEO of IT First spoke of their delight at the completion of the deal.

“Firstly, I would like to thank Paul, his fellow directors Mark Fiettkau and Simon Gregg, and everyone at IT First for taking on this prestigious role with the club. In their previous guise as Technical Response, IT First were already a very valued supporter on the commercial side, as well being personal fans. Over the past five years they have been real friends of the Albion, particularly in backing our community learning programmes and the Seagulls Club. Paul and I have worked together closely on the re-branding exercise, and just as Skint embraced the shirt sponsorship, so too has IT First and they are worthy successors. I believe a club shirt has never before been used to launch a company re-brand, so it’s apt that ‘first’ is the new logo.” - Dick Knight
“As an Albion fan, I am fulfilling a dream: it has been one of my biggest ambitions to one day have the company on the shirt of the club I have supported all my life. It is with great pride that we take on this sponsorship and I am now looking forward to the coming season.” - Paul Goldsmith
The logo that will appear of the 2008/09 kits was shown by unveiling the 3rd kit for the coming season, which is shown below. It has a sky blue base colour, with details around the shoulders in a darker shade of blue. All logos, that is, shirt manufacturers Errea logo, Brighton&Hove crest and IT First logo, will be on the centre of the shirt.

The home and away kits will be unveiled:
Home –> 26th July 2008 in Gary Hart testimonial against Charlton Athletic
Away –> 29th July 2008 against Ipswich Town

I had to look at it a few times but then it became obvious.
the logo says IT (by using the letters i and t) and 1st (by using the i as a 1) - very clever marketing!
