Posted on June 29th, 2009 in Bradford City by Ben1991

Bradford City have revealed their new home and away kits that will be worn by the team for the 09/10 season. The kits are made by Surridge Sports.

The home shirt is mostly all Claret. There is amber trim down the sides of the shirt and on the collar. The club bage is on the left of the chest and the makers have their logo on the right. The club sponsors have their name written across the middle of the shirt in amber. The shirt will be worn with claret shorts.

The away shirt is mostly Black. There is a claret and amber stripe running down the left side of the shirt. The club bage is on the left of the chest and the makers have their logo on the right of the chest. The club sponsors have their name written across the middle of the shirt in amber. The shirt will be worn with black shorts.

Both top notch kits, who needs a big name kit?

  2. Liam J.C said,

I’m probaly wrong but do they not wear stripes as there home?

Apart from that two fine kits. I agree with NFFC, who needs a big brand name.

Really like the away — great colors, design and simple.

  4. Claret and Amber said,

The home is similar to Motherwell’s away from a few years back.

Away looks really nice, home isn’t too bad. Hope Bantams fans don’t mind losing the stripes

Who needs a lazy, recycled bore from the big boys – Well done Surridge

both shirts look great. simple but not boring, good utilisation of colours and very clever integration of the sponsor. this is how kits should be designed!

Very smart. Would like to see if kits are complimented by claret socks for home and black for away. Good work Surridge.

really smart…very good but aren’t Bradford’s home shirts usally claret and orange? is it orange? or amber…which ever, still very nice, smart kits

  21. Blue Peter said,

very, very nice strips…nice and simple but very effective. I wonder what the BCFC fans would think of the change from the tradtional stripes? Both shirts are hugely impressive….bloody hell I’m gushing!

City haven’t always worn stripes; claret and amber is the only constant. I think it’s good they’ve loosened up the format, though I’d have kept a bit more amber in the home strip. The away is good but will these kits be visible enough under floodlights?

  23. bren333 said,

Bradford’s tradition is claret and amber, not especially stripes. They’ve worn all claret before and they won the FA cup in claret with an amber bib. Would like to have seen a tad more amber in the home strip but the away is quite smart. The sponsor is beautifully integrated in both shirts. These kits are far superior to many of the big name offerings, especially the Puma ones! Not how they’re not spattered with manufacturer’s logos.

    Quiet nice.

Even though Bradford have played in other combinations of Claret and Amber before – when I think Bradford, I think Stripes.
