Bolton Wanderers Agree Deal with 188BET

Having just announced that they will be sponsoring Wigan Atheltic, 188BET have also agreed a deal with Bolton Wanderers. The deal will see the betting company’s logo appear on the club’s shirts for the next two seasons. Bolton’s new home and away kits, manufactured by curret shirt manufacturer, Reebok, will be unveilied on Thursday 14 May and will be worn for the club’s final home game against Hull City.

Phil Gartside, club Chairman said:”This is a fantastic and lucrative deal for the Club, and represents the beginning of an exciting partnership with 188BET. We are looking forward to developing it further in the future, and working alongside 188BET on a number of major initiatives for the Club and the fans.”

CEO of 188BET, Andy Scott was thrilled to have agreed a deal with such ambitious club and they (188BET) are looking to develop the deal further .

“We are delighted to be partnering with an ambitious club like Bolton Wanderers, which offers the ideal starting point to develop the 188BET brand across the European market over the next two years. With an established position in the world’s greatest football league, Bolton has consistently proven itself as a driving force in top flight football, while also having a track record of looking after its partners.”

The deal with 188BET replaces the 20-year shirt sponsorship association with Reebok, which is the longest serving main club sponsorship agreement in British football.

Just like in the case with Wigan Athletic, 188BET and Bolton agreed that the sponsor logo will not appear on the youth, children’s and infant shirts sold by the club.

Bolton’s sponsorship by Reebok is not the longest in British football. I am not familiar with the Celtic nations, but the longest sponsership of a Proffessional League club in England is Tranmere Rovers, who have been sponsored by “Wirral” a year longer than Bolton have by “Reebok.”

Bolton fans won’t be happy about this.

Getting rid of an historic sponsor and copying Wigan at the same time…. pathetic

They’re not copying wigan, 188bet want to increase their advertising in england so they approached bolton and wigan – bolton didn’t ask 188bet to sponsor them!

Reebok has not only been the sponsor for Bolton for the last 20 years, it is a part of Bolton history because the Reebok sports brand was born in Bolton, such a sad way to end the Reebok sponsor, all for money! Are they now going to change the name of the Reebok Stadium? I hope not
