Blackburn Away Kit Launch Delayed, Home due in August
Rovers plans to launch the new Umbro away shirt at the same time as their new look club shop, the Roverstore have been hit by a manufacturing problem with kit supplier Umbro. Talking to the club’s website, Tom Finn Blackburn’s Managing Director said:
“It is obviously disappointing that the away kit launch has had to be delayed, through matters outside our control, but we are working closely with Umbro to firm up a new date for later in the month.”
Finn added that the launch of the new home shirt was still on schedule for a mid-August release, which will be when Blackburn are starting their season away to Everton on August 16th. Blackburn’s away shirt for 2008/09 has already been been seen by fans after being revealed by Sportsdirect on their website earlier in the month.
Simon Marsh, Umbro Director of Football, apologised to Blackburn fans saying:
“As a partner of the club it is with regret that we have placed the club and its fans in a situation whereby the intended launch of the new away kit has had to be delayed. We accept full responsibility and can only apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.”
Big mistake lots of fans will be there first day trying to buy the new away kit and what do you know umbro screwed it up

I hardly think that this has anything to do with the kit. It’s a website about new kits not history of football. On topic, it is a beautiful kit and I’d be proud to wear it if I supported Blackburn.
Typical **** umbro, they even delayed the everton home kit by 14 days so now I have to wait until the 24th.
