Arsenal 2009 Away Shirt Preview
In a similar manner to that done by rivals Liverpool, Arsenal have issued a teaser prior to revealing the new away shirt. However, in contrast to that of the Reds, which hid all the shirt behind a black shadow, the Gunners have opted to give their fans a very slight taste of what the shirt will look like as well as the colours. The shirt will replace the present yellow shirt worn away from the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have practically ensured that next season they will be playing in the UEFA Champions League after being given a scare by Aston Villa easrlier in the season. The Gunners now sit 10 points above the Villans as there are 4 games remaining until the closing down of the league for the summer break. As a result of placing 4th, Arsenal will have to go through a potentially-tricky qualifying round to earn a place in the group stage.
The picture revealed on the official club website shows Spanish sensational midfielder Cesc fanregas wearing the new 2009/10 away shirt of the club. However, the shirt and shorts are covered by a black shadow, except for a circular part around the Arsenal crest. It is the small area around the crest that gives us an idea of the colour and design of the shirt. The shirt will be blue and will have two shades of this colour. Looking closer, we can see very thin, vertical, light blue stripes on the blody of the shirt. We will expect further developments in the coming days, but loyal fans are invited to pre-order the shirt and be the first to wear it. Its sure looks good!

well well well,, we have leaks of a green and a white kit….no one expected blue!!

The all blue away kit tht arsenal had in 04-05 (i believe) was one of the nicest away kits they’ve had and i’m hoping for a similar design in this

it seems as though this has a collar
with the lighter blue and navy blue colours together, it reminds me of the 94/95 arsenal shirt which was a classic and also the blue lightning kit a couple of years later…. so this pin stripe shirt could be good with these colours
puke green or piss yellow. whatever happened to blue

From this, it looks like it could have the same template as the man utd home that has been previewed recently. Blue with a navy ‘V’ on the chest.
Last time Arsenal won any trophies was when their away kit was blue…Watch out for Wenger’s work in process to finally stay healthy and flourish next year.

last kit that had blue as a primary colour was the barca turnaround kit with a collar as well…so hope this 1 dont hav it!

This kit looks like it’s goin to be great. The blue kits always look good for Arsenal. If you look you can see a darker almost navy blue that will probably be a v like on Manure’s design
Looks great but it has a COLLAR!!! That lets it down unfortunately, it won’t really suit the home kit either

How could any true Gooner be happy about their team adopting a blue shirt? Seems crazy to me. Just as bad as United. I would rather rip out my eyes and replace them with hot coals than see Chelsea wearing another a red strip, whether 2nd / 3rd or otherwise. I rembember the old early 90’s kits. I gag at the thought…..
why would you go for a blue away kit, when you have enemies like Chelsea and Everton whom are both Blue… not a good look for Arsenal.

i knew it would be blue, arsenal always go in an order with away kits, blue, yellow, blue, yellow, etc. The white 1 was a one off, they rarely stray from the colours blue and yellow with away kits
i dont think its a collar, i this its the same neck design as our 07/08 season, with would be Really nice…you can view it officially on the Arsenal website on May 21st…
