AFC Wimbledon 2012/13 Home and Away Shirts

AFC Wimbledon is an English club founded in 2002 which has slowly been going up the ranks of the English league system. The team made it to the Conference South (6th level) after being promoted from the 2007/08 season, and won this division immediately to be promoted to the Conference National. Here they played for two seasons, ranking 2nd in the 2nd one to be promoted to League Two (4th level). During the 2011/12 season, the club ranked 16th out of 24 clubs in the nPower League Two.

The club has launched the new kits for the 2012/13 season where they will be looking to make another step upwards in the English league system. The shirts are manufactured by Tempest Sports and sponsored by Sports Interactive, creators of the popular football-management game series Football Manager. The new home shirt has a blue base colour with a yellow patch on the upper part of the chest. The collar is a blue V-neck and their are yellow patches on the sleeve edges. The away shirt features a yellow base colour and while the logo of Football Manager appears as sponsor logo on the home shirt, the logo of Sports Interactve appears on the away shirt. Two diagonal stripes run from the left shoulder to the bottom-right of the body, one being blue and the other white. The collar of the away shirt is a blue V-neck.

I quite like the home kit, it’s pretty smart. Not so much a fan of the away, but I guess the fans will be pleased (as kits are selected on a supporter vote).

one notes the away sponsor is different from the home, very much like the difference between lady and women.
