Aalborg Home Shirt 2010/11
Aalborg BK is a Danish football club from the fourth largest city in Denmark, Aalborg. They participate in the top league in the country, which is the Danish Superliga, and they have won this three times in their history. The latest was the 2007/08 league where they earned a place in the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League group stage. Last season, the 2008/09 campaign, they finished in a disappointing 7th place in the table. Until the 17th matchday in the current 2009/10 campaign, the team sits once again in the 7th place as it won 7, drawn 4 and lost 6 games.

In the summer, before this season kicked off, Aalborg switched from Danish sportswear company Hummel to world-renowned German brand Adidas for the supply of their shirts. They started the campaign with white home shirts, when they traditionally play in vertically striped white and red shirts. Now, the striped shirt that fans have been waiting for so much has arrived. It will be used for the remainder of this campaign as well as the 2010/11 campaign. The shirt is mainly white, with three vertical red stripes on the front. The sleeves are also white, and there are the trademark Adidas stripes in red on the shoulders. Shirt sponsors Spar Nord have their logo in the middle on a white background. The collar is white with a touch of red in the front-central part. The complementary home shorts and home socks are white, with minor red details on the sides and top part respectively. The shirt can be purchased as from the 7th December.

I do not see the reason behind releasing the shirt for next year, as this year’s season has not even gone past half way yet.
Is it only for the revenue?
