2007/08 Man Utd Away Picture
Well we thought we had what looked like the Manchester United away shirt last time, but this time we do thanks to user Mike857. The photo below clearly shows Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney & Cristiano Ronaldo wearing the new black Man Utd away kit for next season. This settles some debate amongst the Old Trafford faithful with many thinking it was going to be a white away shirt.

The shirt appears to have a red trim runing from down the collar and along near the sleeves, this appears to be the only difference to the fake shirt seen. The kit is worn with black shorts which have a white trim around the bottom of them and black shorts.
well i think the black shirt is quality but its just a little plain

Looks really good. i like it. Does it have the same sort of high collar like on the home kit. I think it will have a red stripe down the back because of the red shoulder bits. I also prefer the red trim to the white trim.

Nike have really put a big effort into this kit. Nike have not been trying hard enough in recent years. the failure kits were the 2005/2006 home and the blue away kit looked terrible.

I spoke to some of the staff in the megastore and they said it goes on sale on the 31st August. it looks even better when you can see the poster close up so i presume it’ll look EVEN better than that when it’s released. i’m struggling to think of a bad black kit that we’ve had to be honest

Woodie, I think you may be on your own in disliking the black and yellow kit. it’s one of the best and most memorable kits we’ve ever had. Even the players voted it their favourite.
By the way, I saw the big poster of this kit at the Megastore yesterday and it looks really good, even if it is just a black version of the home kit with a bit of red trim.
at least its better than the red one i suppose

still no official news of hargreaves number?? with Nani having 17, ive got a feeling Anderson will get 8 and hargreaves will stick with the 23 he had at Bayern.
I think Tevez will get number 8 as they’re obviously waiting for confirmation of his transfer before they choose the numbers. Hargreaves seems to suit 23, Foster 12 and Anderson 14 perhaps now Smithy’s gone.
On the topic, I really like the black away kit as well as the home kit, i’m just waiting for Hargreaves’ number for my home and Tevez for the away I reckon. What name and number are other people going for?

I watch man-utd play the other day on MUTV, the shirt looks great. The numbering and names are also in red, and there is a red stripe down the back and it has got the high coller at the back like the home one.
I think Hardgreaves will be given number 17, Tevez 8 and Anderson 14. I am getting the home and away shirt for my birthday the home will be rooney and the away will be ronaldo, rooney or tevez but im not sure. ???????

this shirt comes out on the 13th of September . I think the white strip on the home shirt looks a bit strange and so does the red on the black It would do better without it.

all i know mate is that the Premier League give the clubs a few colours to choose from (such as White, Balck, Gold, Blue) but i don’t remember there being a red, but i do agree red will look better due to the red stripe on the back, and it will be different than having white name/numbers…

the kit is obviously fake because 1 the quality of the kit is s h i t 2, where mike 857 has the picture of the front of the shirt the label is burnt. and 3 my cousin works for nike and the strip down the back will be white as will be all the seams.
My local sports shop has a an official poster in the window giving etails of all kit launches, and it shows the Utd Awat as being August 26th, However, this is a Sunday??When I asked I was told it would probably be 23rd (Thursday), but personally I think it will be a mid-week release date once again, so August 29th????
Also, there is no mention of the kit on the club website yet??? The numbers and lettering are going to be white by the way…

hate to be a kill joy but the top isnt even coming out til 23 of september cause there was a fault in the design.
i get the impression though united arnt releasing it till near he time we play our first away game when a away kit is needed, which is Aston Villa away on 20th October!! but then again we may need it for the champions league (depending on the draw)……….just a thought
