2009/10 Partick Thistle Away Shirt
Partick Thistle is a Scottish First Division club, meaning that it plays in the second level of Scottish football. In the past season, they ranked 2nd in the table, with 10 points less than winners St Johnstone’s total of 65 points. While St Johnstone got promoted to the Scottish Premier League, Partick Thistle will try to achieve this success in the 2009/10 season. They will be doing this partly in a very innovative away shirt.

Shirt manufacturers Puma, with the collaboration of official retailer Greaves Sports and designers Genesis, came up with the first ever camouflage strip in Scottish football and maybe even in world football. The shirt sponsor is Ignis Asset Management. The club retained pink after last season’s success, and combined it in an eye-catching camouflage design. The sleeves of the shirt extending to the shoulders will be black, as will be the complementary shorts and socks. The front-body, back-body and shorts-sides will have the camouflage colour using black, light grey, dark grey and pink. The shirt goes on sale through Greaves Sports later in August.
“We were blown away by the reaction to last season’s away strip which was Partick Thistle’s best ever in terms of sales and exposure. We promised to create a stir year-on-year so were then faced with the challenge of coming up with something which would generate as much interest.”
“We retained the pink element due to the popularity of last year’s pink and grey kit and we hope it proves a lucky charm for Ian McCall and his players once again.” – Sandy Greaves: Director of Greaves Sports

This is a big no no. Worst kit ever?
That is awful. Nuf said
That is very, very ugly.
OMFG! It is great because it soo different…….but soo wrong.
This kit truely is the spawn of Satan’s less imaginative brother Bob.
That is awesome!
Not the first-ever camo shirt in football… Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan holds that distinction. http://bit.ly/4BYCws
Personally I love it. It’s a change shirt so it isn’t like they’re wearing it week in and week out… plus you know people will buy this.
Personaly, I hate it.
nice, its definitely different!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
I don’t wish to be unkind to manufacturer Puma, but there’s no two ways about this, it is horrendous. I feel sorry for all those Jags fans who were looking forward to spending their hard-earned cash on new kits, only to find out this is what’s being offered. Oh well, maybe next year….
The San Diego Padres in Baseball have a camo shirt for the Memorial Day weekend game(s) and it’s a one time thing. http://preview.tinyurl.com/md67dx It looks ok, I guess once you get used to it. This shirt however…I’m really speechless. You know, I could almost get used to the camo design….but blimey, pink?
Greatest kit ever manufactured. I will buy six.
worst kit ever made!
So they’re thinking of a colour scheme… “Pink, grey, black white”…”YEAH!”. Then they have to find a way to make all the *great* colours work on a kit. They should’ve stopped at ‘pink’ looking back at the rest of this comment.
What year is this, 1992? That is awful.
No no and no!! Not a good kit!!
That is almost as bad as Everton’s away kit. Almost.
well its unusual and err….. bizzare!
Love it!! HaHa! It’s different and that’s why it’s so brilliant! Think i might order myself one, though! Always wanted to be in the army! Not sure they would allow pink in it though! HaHaHaHaHa! Is this a photoshopped joke? or is it really real?
now i know what my ‘worst kit’ vote is
personally, i love it.
and at least they wont need a third shirt
Different. If you are a collector you should have it!! And Shimzu S-Pulse of Japan y more bizarre!! another shirt to add to any good collection
What an atrocious gimmick. It just demonstrates the lengths to which this pathetic mob will go to in order to generate a bit of publicity.
wow lol!! wtf hahaha
You really hit the nail on the head with this post. There are darn few blogs other than sports, football, or cycling that I even bother to read.
Love it, best kit Jockball has ever seen. Well done you Jags
