This will be the Adidas ball that will be used in this season’s final of the UEFA Champions League. The Champions League final will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow (Russia) on the 21st May 2008.

The official red-and-gold match ball can be obtained at the price of £75. As was reported on the UEFA.com website, ‘the Adidas designers took their inspiration in particular from the colours of Red Square, the Kremlin and the gold domes of Moscow’s numerous cathedrals’. The winner of the 2007/08 Champions League will use this match ball in all its home games of the 2008/09 season.
Very nice, will be good to see this ball in the back of the Fenerbache net, when Manchester United lift the European Cup once again.

The red star is a good choice and more appropriate than usual but the designers could have been more literal in their translation i.e. put a different geometric pattern in each red star like the top of each tower on St. Basil’s Cathedral (shown in the photo).

Really, Everton’s my favorite Premiership side… I just don’t think you can call winning your domestic title and losing to the eventual champs in the semi’s a “fall.” … It just doesn’t make any sense.
we have strengthened the team enough this summer not to “fall” (i.e. what mat and amir mean by a fall) again this season. Man Utd performed the best in the 1st leg of quarter-finals, and showed that they have a team capable of liftin the trophy after 9 years’ wait.

My point is that people were saying that Man U would win after beating Roma last season 7-1 while in similar current form, but then went out after not replicating this form against Milan.
I still think that you have a better chance if/when you play Barca though, but final can be strange things sometimes.

rite basically this is directed towards chris and anyone else who persistantly finds excuses to undermine man utd although i am a man utd fan if i was not i would still believe that man u are the best team left in the competition simple as, liverpool yes are a good side as they wouldnt have got this far if they wernt but they have lacked consistancy in these past years in the league and always blabbing on about there champions league form, but there have been three english clubs that are just as good as them but still dont make such a big deal as they have other things to concentrate on such as the league, i mean how many points are liverpool behind this season lol. i believe it suits us more to face Liverpool in the final rather than Chelski. just a personal opinion, but i believe the Scousers are no longer a threat to Man Utd, unlike Chelsea. I also believe that the keeper injuries will put Chelsea out of the title race.
